Neckar bridge K 1618 in Hessigheim closed for three days

Further investigations will take place on the weir bridge over the Neckar in Hessigheim from Tuesday, November 12, 2024, to Thursday, November 14, 2024. They serve to prepare for the upcoming structural renovation.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The condition of the bridge will be checked using an under-bridge inspection device and material samples will be taken. During the work, which is expected to take three days, the bridge will have to be fully closed.

The full closure will be set up on Tuesday morning. Detour are signposted. The detour route from Hessigheim to the opposite bank of the Neckar, to the residents there and to Schreyerhof in the direction of Kleiningersheim leads via Mundelsheim, Pleidelsheim and Großingersheim.

The district administration office asks all road users and residents for their understanding.
