The district is investing 27,000 euros in safe cycle paths. The outdated wooden railing
is no longer state of the art and is being replaced by a modern guardrail with
handrail.
The Gemmrigheim sports ground, which is located directly at the foot of the embankment, will therefore be much better protected in future against vehicles coming off the road from
the busy K 1625, as the existing
wooden railing had no protective effect whatsoever in the event of a vehicle collision.
To ensure the safety of all road users and the construction process, cyclists
are asked to dismount from their bikes in the area of the construction work. During the work,
obstructions are to be expected. Some sections of pedestrian and cycle traffic will be diverted onto the
carriageway. Vehicle traffic will be reduced to 30 km/h in the construction site area.
The planned construction period lasts from Monday, September 19, up to and including Wednesday, September 21.
The district administration asks all road users for their understanding for any possible obstructions.
