In his welcoming address, Jürgen Vogt, First State Official, emphasized the special importance of artistic diversity: "Mixed media art thrives on dissolving boundaries. It combines materials that at first glance hardly seem to fit together: Paint, paper, cardboard, photographs, found objects, natural materials - in short, anything that touches the imagination and can be shaped by the hands. A single, multi-layered work of art emerges from this diversity."
Six artists, six positions
The works on display are dedicated to social issues, personal emotions and free play with form and material. From recycled art and experimental color spaces to emotionally charged compositions, the exhibition opens up a broad spectrum of artistic styles.
On six levels, visitors will encounter six unique artistic positions - each with its own attitude, history and signature. "I cordially invite you to take this diversity with you: into your everyday life, into your thoughts, perhaps even into your own creative activities. Let yourself be inspired, surprised - and touched," continues Vogt.
Expert introduction and musical accompaniment
Art historian Nicole Raichle then gave an expert introduction to the exhibition and emphasized how the artists open up new perspectives on the world through their respective techniques. The evening was accompanied by music from Sarah Maria-Music.
During the opening, visitors had the opportunity to immortalize themselves in a guest book on display and leave their own thoughts or creative impulses.
