With heart and mind: child day care as a path to independence

For many families, reliable, loving and flexible childcare is essential - especially in the first years of their children's lives. Child day care offers exactly that: individual support in a small group, a family atmosphere and close relationships. At the same time, it opens up fulfilling career prospects for committed people - as a qualified childminder. The district's next qualification course starts on October 14, 2025.

If you enjoy working with children, act responsibly and can imagine working independently, then a qualification as a childminder is just the thing for you. In a well-founded qualification, prospective childminders learn everything they need to know to care for and support children - from developmental psychology and nutrition to legal and organizational basics. The job not only offers the opportunity to combine family and career, but also the chance to accompany and support children on their journey through life. There are still places available for the next qualification course starting on October 14.

Further information about child day care, both for parents and potential childminders, can be found on the website www.tageseltern-lb.de.

Child day care - more than just childcare

In child day care, children aged 0 to 3 years are looked after in small groups of a maximum of five children. This enables intensive, age-appropriate support and a close relationship between child and carer. Many parents particularly appreciate the family environment, flexible childcare times and the individualized approach to the child's needs. Whether as a supplement or alternative to daycare, daycare is an important pillar of early childhood education and care.
