Take the Strohgäubahn to Stuttgart for shopping or to the Christmas market

On this year's Advent weekends (02.12., 09.12., 16.12. and 23.12.), the Strohgäubahn will continue from Korntal to Stuttgart Central Station. Every two hours, the trains from the Strohgäu will run through to the state capital. This is made possible by an additional order placed by the Strohgäubahn special-purpose association with Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (WEG).

A green train is traveling down a forested path with vibrant autumn foliage. A Santa hat is whimsically placed on the train's front, adding a festive touch to the scene. The overall ambiance suggests a cheerful, seasonal theme.

Trains running through to Stuttgart depart from Heimerdingen every two hours between 10:01 and 20:01 (i.e. 10:01, 12:01, 14:01, 16:01, 18:01 and 20:01) and stop at all stations on the Strohgäubahn as far as Korntal. Between Korntal and Stuttgart Hbf (above) these trains run without any further stops.

The return journey from Stuttgart in the direction of Heimerdingen also runs every two hours from 11:20 to 21:20 (i.e. 11:20, 13:20, 15:20, 17:20, 19:20 and 21:20). Here too, the trains run directly to Korntal and stop at all stations from there to Heimerdingen.

Travel on the trains is possible with all valid VVS, BW-Tarif or Deutschlandtarif tickets.

The exact journey times can be found in the VVS or DB online information media. With regard to the departure platform at Stuttgart main station, the Strohgäubahn special purpose association and the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft ask you to observe the information in the online media and the departure boards on site.

The rest of the Strohgäubahn timetable between Korntal and Heimerdingen will remain unchanged on Advent Saturdays.

The Zweckverband Strohgäubahn and the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft look forward to welcoming as many passengers as possible to the special trips.
