Explore the steep slopes with the app

Together with the tourism associations and nine municipalities, the Ludwigsburg District Office has developed a tourist app for the steep slopes in the district. The "Echt.Schön.Schräg." app allows users to discover hiking trails, restaurants and beautiful viewpoints. Users also receive lots of information about viticulture and the flora and fauna.

Together with the tourism associations Kraichgau-Stromberg-Tourismus, 3B-Tourismus, Tourismus & Events Ludwigsburg and Marbach-Bottwartal-Tourismus and nine towns and municipalities, the district of Ludwigsburg has developed the steep slope app "Echt.Schön.Schräg.". The app was presented for the first time on September 26 at the main agricultural festival on the stage of the Hall of Regions. "We are very proud of our app. It is a valuable building block for the preservation of the terraced steep vineyards in the district of Ludwigburg," says Dr. Christian Sußner, Head of the Environment, Technology and Construction Department.

The steep slope app "Echt.Schön.Schräg." skillfully combines tourist highlights in the steep slopes with knowledge transfer about viticulture and nature. In the app, users can find the most beautiful hikes through the cultural landscape of the terraced steep vineyards as well as the most spectacular viewpoints. Information on viticulture, history, flora and fauna and monument protection is also provided in a clear and entertaining way. Wine sales and restaurants can also be found at a glance. Particularly impressive are the drone flights that show the most beautiful views from above and a Roman who describes the history of viticulture using augmented reality. A small wine surprise awaits all those who have managed to solve the quiz and hike the experience points.

The app "Echt. Beautiful. Schräg." app is supported by the Verband Region Stuttgart as part of the "Program for the cofinancing of regional model projects and cooperations in the field of business and tourism". The app is available for download at: https://echt-schoen-schraeg.de/app/
