"Miller's Girl" in the "KinoKaffeeFilm" series at the Central Filmtheater: Health department provides information about loneliness in old age

The new "KinoKaffeeFilm" event on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 will focus on loneliness in old age. The health department of the district administration will provide information on the topic at the Central Filmtheater Ludwigsburg (Arsenalstr. 4) as part of the series.

For Dr. Uschi Traub from the health department, the "KinoKaffeFilm" format is a way to combat loneliness and depression. "We reach the visitors directly in a personal conversation and the low admission price means that people with little money can also access it. In my opinion, this is a contribution to equal opportunities," explains the doctor and head of the health promotion and health planning department at the Ludwigsburg district office.

Claus Wollenschläger, owner of the Central Filmtheater, supports this format, as "there is a lively exchange between the cinema guests and representatives of the department on current health issues, thus enriching the cultural film series KinoKaffeeFilm".

During the get-together, Dr. Uschi Traub and Madeleine Braun, also an employee of the health department, will this time provide information about loneliness in old age, its effects and tips to combat it. Offers in the city of Ludwigsburg will also be presented. Knowledge can be tested in a quiz with prizes awarded. The event is a cooperation between the Stadtseniorenrat Ludwigsburg e.V., the Central Filmtheater Ludwigsburg and the Health Department.

Visitors appreciate the offer at the Central Filmtheater

"It was a relaxed afternoon, watching an entertaining movie, having a coffee afterwards, meeting people, talking and then getting information for your health, that's only possible at KinoKaffeeFilm," says Brigitte Rayer-Pohland, Chairwoman of the Ludwigsburg Senior Citizens' Council, summing up the last event.

For visitor Christel Rabe, "KinoKaffeeFilm" is "a special offer, because this generation often feels so lonely" and adds: "I think it's nice that coffee and pastries are served afterwards". Gerhard Krämer is also enthusiastic about the format: "As the prize winner in the guessing game after a visit to the "KinoKaffeFilm" series, I would like to invite you to visit this series of films from the health department again! It's worth it: a nice movie with coffee and yeast plait plus a free raffle for 8 euros."
