"Migrant women take off": event provides information on career opportunities and possibilities

The Ludwigsburg District Office, together with the town of Marbach am Neckar in cooperation with the town of Steinheim an der Murr, the municipality of Erdmannhausen and the municipality of Benningen am Neckar, is organizing the event "Migrantinnen starten durch" on Thursday, 24 October 2024.

Text reads: "Migrantinnen starten durch!" is a phrase advocating for the empowerment of migrant women, encouraging them to move forward and thrive. The design features a circular outline surrounding the text.

On this morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Marbach town hall (Schillerhöhe 12), the event offers information on vocational training and further education, (re-)entering the world of work and many different support services for women.

In a relaxed atmosphere, information will be provided on district-wide and local integration offers, vocational training offers and career re-entry. At the same time, those involved will talk to visitors about current needs and challenges, ideas and wishes. Among other things, successful migrant women will introduce themselves and talk about their experiences.

Children are welcome to come along to the event. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Registration is not necessary.

What's behind the event format

The event format "Migrantinnen starten durch" is intended to support women with a history of migration in their social and professional integration by highlighting opportunities and possibilities and providing suggestions for shaping their professional future. The target group is primarily the migrant women, but also offices, institutions, associations and organizations that are important local multipliers as contacts for women with a migration background and can provide significant impetus.
