Michael Ilk is interim managing director of the Zweckverband Stadtbahn in the Ludwigsburg district

On Thursday (September 26), the association's assembly appointed Michael Ilk, district councillor and former mayor of Ludwigsburg, as interim managing director of the Zweckverband Stadtbahn im Landkreis Ludwigsburg. The appointment of an interim managing director had become necessary because the previous managing director Frank von Meißner is leaving the association for personal reasons and a specialist recruitment agency still needs time to find a successor for him.

61-year-old Michael Ilk was Mayor of the City of Ludwigsburg for Mobility, Technology and Civil Engineering from 2013 to 2021 and has been a member of the district council since 2019. He will take on the role of interim managing director until a successor is found for the departing managing director Frank von Meißner.

District Administrator and association chairman Dietmar Allgaier thanked Ilk for his willingness to take on the role of interim managing director of the special-purpose association. "I am delighted that in Michael Ilk we have been able to recruit a very competent leader for the transitional period who will continue to drive the project forward," said District Administrator Allgaier.
