The Metterradweg starts at the source of the Metter in Sternenfels-Diefenbach (Enzkreis) and continues via Illingen-Schützingen (Enzkreis), Vaihingen-Gündelbach, Vaihingen-Horrheim, Sersheim and Sachsenheim to Bietigheim-Bissingen where the Metter flows into the Enz. The Metterradweg is a 29 km long-distance cycle route. It was inaugurated on July 2, 2023.
Metterradweg: detour in the Enzkreis district
The Metterradweg between Schützingen and Gündelbach will be closed from October 11 until probably the end of November 2023. A detour will be set up instead of the actual route. From the end of Illinger Straße in Schützingen, the cycle path will be rerouted via Ringstraße and then via the agricultural road parallel to the K4510, later crossing it and continuing through the adjoining forest to the district boundary to Gündelbach and vice versa. The cycle path detour is signposted. During the road closure, the municipality of Illingen is renovating the section between the two municipalities.
