Organic Waste Collection: Starting October 18, 2026, every two weeks again

With the arrival of colder temperatures, the Ludwigsburg District Waste Management Company (AVL) is adjusting the collection schedule for organic waste bins. Effective immediately, organic waste bins will be emptied every two weeks during the fall and winter months.

There are two organic waste bins on the sidewalk.

Starting October 18, the organic waste bins will be emptied every two weeks again (Ludwigsburg District Office).

To ensure that residents put their trash bins out on time, AVL recommends checking the AVL Service+ app. It reliably reminds users of all pickup dates and is available for free in the App Store.

Leaves and yard trimmings can be disposed of at mulching sites

Anyone with a particularly large amount of leaves or yard trimmings in the fall can drop off both for free at the shredding sites in Ludwigsburg County.

Information on the nearest shredding sites is available at the respective town hall or online at www.avl-ludwigsburg.de under “Private Customers” and then “Drop-off Locations.”
