District office discontinues operation of the coronavirus dashboard and the coronavirus hotline as of December 23

Due to the current development of the pandemic and reduced demand for information, the District Office will cease operation of the coronavirus dashboard and the coronavirus hotline on December 23.

The background to this is the announcement by the Ministry of Social Affairs that the daily reports from the State Health Office, which form the basis for the dashboard, will now be switched to weekly reports. In order to continue operating the dashboard, time-consuming adjustments would have been necessary.

"However, due to the current development of the pandemic, the continuation of the dashboard is no longer necessary from a technical point of view," says Dr. Karlin Stark, Head of Health and Consumer Protection, explaining the decision. "As we have also seen a significant reduction in the use of the corona hotline in recent weeks, we are also discontinuing the corona hotline at the same time," she adds.

The daily case numbers and other indicators for Baden-Württemberg are available every working day on the Robert Koch Institute website (dashboard and pandemic radar) and in the Baden-Württemberg Health Atlas.

On Thursdays, the State Health Office continues to publish a situation report at https://www.gesundheitsamt-bw.de/lga/de/fachinformationen/infodienste-newsletter/infektnews/seiten/lagebericht-covid-19/, which contains detailed reporting on COVID-19 with infection figures, incidences and other important indicators. The report is still available online on the website of the State Health Office.
