“What I’ve particularly appreciated about you is that you’re someone you can speak plainly with. You have strong opinions, stand up for your convictions, and don’t shy away from critical questions. That’s exactly what local politics is all about: bringing different perspectives to the table, engaging in critical discussion, and finding solutions together,” emphasized District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier in his speech.
The head of the district administration thanked Trettner for his many years of dedication, his valuable experience in local politics, and his consistently positive, open, and trusting collaboration.
Active in Numerous Committees and Bodies
Trettner had been a member of the district council since 2004 and served on various committees over the course of five terms. His focus was on the Social Affairs Committee and the Youth Welfare Committee. In addition, he served on other bodies and held positions on the supervisory boards of the hospitals, on the board of directors of the Kreissparkasse, and as an honorary judge at the Heilbronn Social Court. Since June 2024, he has also served as deputy chairman of the CDU district council caucus.
In 2024, Trettner received the District Council’s Bronze Medal of Merit for his many years of service in local politics.
A New Chapter at the Neckar Energy Association
With the end of his term as mayor, Trettner has begun a new chapter in his career: Since the spring of 2026, he has served as managing director of the Neckar Energy Association (NEV). He remains connected to volunteer local politics as a member of the CDU’s Local Political Association.
