District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas receives the envoy of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin at the district hall

District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas received the envoy from the Chinese Embassy in Berlin at the district hall on Thursday (November 21). Envoy Junhui Zhang and his colleague, Attaché Siqi Ding, signed the district's guest book. After the reception in the county hall, a tour of the palace was on the program.

Two men stand smiling beside a large open book on a table. They are flanked by flags: one representing Germany, one for China, and another for the European Union. The setting appears formal, suggesting a diplomatic or official engagement.

The head of the district administration gave the two guests an insight into the district of Ludwigsburg and the various tasks of the district administration. He also showed the visitors the cooperation agreement between the Ludwigsburg district and Yichang, which was on display in the conference zone. District Administrator Haas referred to the long-standing partnership and said: "We are proud of our cooperation with the city of Yichang. You have always supported the cooperation in your former function as vice mayor of the city of Yichang," he said appreciatively to envoy Junhui Zhang. Cross-border cooperation, both at municipal and national level, is extremely important, said District Administrator Haas.

The partnership between the district of Ludwigsburg and Hubei Province in central China began in 1990. A cooperation agreement with the city of Yichang, which has a population of around four million, has been in place since 1995. The agreement primarily provides for cooperation in the areas of healthcare, culture and vocational training.
