District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas takes part in glasses donation campaign

District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas took part in the Brillen-Mosqua glasses donation campaign on Tuesday (August 20). He handed over the glasses to Markus Stammberger, head of Brillen-Mosqua, in his office and said: "I am happy to donate to the campaign, which is a good and meaningful cause because it benefits people in need in Bietigheim-Bissingen's Hungarian twin town Szekszárd."

Two men stand indoors, smiling at the camera. One man in a black shirt holds a pair of glasses, while the other, dressed in a light-colored suit, is receiving them. The setting appears to be an office, with various items visible in the background.

The patron of the 7th Brillen-Mosqua glasses donation campaign is Bietigheim-Bissingen's Lord Mayor Jürgen Kessing. So far, around 50,000 pairs of glasses have been collected for people in Africa and Hungary.

Glasses that are no longer worn can also be handed in directly to Brillen-Mosqua in Ludwigsburg's Myliusstrasse until August 31. As a thank you, donors will receive a 25-euro voucher including a free 3D vision test, a DNEYE eye analysis and an intraocular pressure measurement. Opticians can also collect old, returned glasses and donate them to the campaign.
