District Administrator visits Bosch site in Schwieberdingen: Securing the site with future mobility

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, Mayor Nico Lauxmann and District Economic Development Officer Oliver Reichert recently visited the global Bosch Group at its Schwieberdingen site. Dr. Thomas Pauer, member of the divisional board, and Michael Kattau, Head of Communications, presented the innovative Powertrain Solutions division.

Four men stand in front of a modern building with large glass windows and a prominent red logo. They are dressed in business attire, with a clear blue sky above. The setting conveys a professional atmosphere, likely indicating a corporate environment.

As part of the impulse talks with major companies in the district of Ludwigsburg
, District Administrator Allgaier visited the Bosch site in Schwieberdingen last week to gain insights
into the future of the economy in the district. It became clear
how much the transformation in the automotive industry is already shaping the location today. Topics
included in particular the change in mobility towards new drive technologies and the associated
goal of climate neutrality, to which the district has also committed itself.

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier is certain: "It is good news for the district that
companies such as Bosch are already on the way to the future of mobility. At the Bosch site
Schwieberdingen, the transformation from a development center for combustion technologies
to new drive systems is tangible." Pauer emphasizes: "Our development site in
Schwieberdingen is one of the largest in the world within the Bosch Group. We are developing
the mobility of tomorrow here in the areas of electric and connected mobility." Mayor Lauxmann is therefore
pleased that Bosch is looking to expand the
site in line with the development of Schwieberdingen's regional business hub
. The municipality of Schwieberdingen, the district of Ludwigsburg and
Bosch therefore welcome the fact that the people of Schwieberdingen have made this possible with their positive vote in the referendum
.

In the subsequent discussion, both District Administrator Allgaier and Mayor
Lauxmann expressed their interest in further forward-looking ideas. Climate neutrality is becoming increasingly important for companies
such as Bosch. Bosch already has a number of plans for energy savings, but also for the expansion of renewable
energies. The cooperation between the company
and the municipality of Schwieberdingen and the district of Ludwigsburg is an important
factor here, not least because it has an impact on the mobility of associates
.

Bosch, the municipality and the district of Ludwigsburg therefore reaffirmed their joint
goal of realizing the light rail link between Schwieberdingen and Ludwigsburg. According to Dr. Thomas Pauer,
this is of strategic importance for Bosch, as the company wants to offer its employees an
environmentally friendly way to get to work and at the same time improve its carbon footprint
. To connect to the bus network, Bosch has already set up a bus stop on the company premises at its own expense
, which is currently being implemented with the support of the municipality of Schwieberdingen
. "Here too, the good public-private partnership was decisive
for the successful cooperation," says district economic development manager Oliver Reichert
.
