District Administrator Allgaier visits Steinheim an der Murr: Focus on companies, construction projects and sustainable concepts

As part of his district tour, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier visited Steinheim an der Murr on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Accompanied by Mayor Thomas Winterhalter, the visit included various stops that provided an exciting insight into the town's development and innovative strength.

The event kicked off with a visit to Polsterei Königherz, a young craft start-up in Steinheim that is on a strong growth trajectory. The company stands for craftsmanship in the fields of upholstery and saddlery and has already made a name for itself in the Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg region.

Managing Directors Anissa Wiener and Lorenzo Puglisi welcomed the District Administrator to explain the success factors of their business model and give a glimpse behind the scenes of their team. "Their team spirit and close cohesion are really impressive," said the District Administrator, praising the company's modern management.

Mayor Thomas Winterhalter agreed: "Königherz is a prime example of how innovative ideas and traditional craftsmanship can form a successful symbiosis. We are proud to have such a company in Steinheim, whose commitment radiates far beyond the district."

Scheibenäcker development area and heating network: wide-ranging topics during the district tour

The company visit was followed by a joint discussion at Steinheim Town Hall. One of the topics discussed was the current status of the Scheibenäcker development area. The expansion of the heating network in Steinheim was also discussed. "This project is an important step towards a more sustainable energy supply for the town," explained Winterhalter.

The visit ended with a culinary lunch at "Steppi-Urverpackt", a regional store that focuses on sustainable and unpackaged food.
