District tests homes across the board for the first time

The district is now testing this across the board in inpatient care facilities. The "Corona-Mobil", which has been in operation since the beginning of April, has been staffed up.

A healthcare worker in a yellow protective suit and gloves is administering a test to a patient lying in bed, covered with a white blanket. The patient has their mouth open, while the healthcare worker uses a swab for the procedure.

Now two of these mobile swabbing stations are driving directly to the homes and testing residents and care staff. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier is delighted with the willingness of the medical profession and the emergency services: "This allows us to offer nursing homes and retirement homes direct help on site and keep an eye on the situation in order to avoid any local sources of infection."

Allgaier emphasizes that the district is well positioned with the steadily increasing laboratory capacities and the test centre at Ludwigsburg Hospital, which is also operated by the medical profession, and praises the good cooperation between the "blue light services", the district medical profession and the RKH clinics with the district administration.
