In the coming weeks, all asphalt layers will first be removed in the area of the L 1144/K 1692 junction and then the frost protection layers will be removed down to the earth subgrade on which the seepage water under the roadway is drained. The earth subgrade will be re-profiled and stabilized. In the area of the junction, the drainage pipes under the carriageway will also be renewed. The new frost protection layer and a reinforced asphalt package will then be laid to accommodate the increased traffic volume.
During the closure of the L 1144, there will be a wide detour from the B 27 near Kornwestheim to Ludwigsburg to Friedrichstraße (L 1140) via the L 1140 to Remseck-Aldingen and the L 1100 to Stuttgart-Mühlhausen. In the opposite direction, the detour route is also via this connection. The L 1144 coming from Stuttgart-Mühlhausen can be used up to the roadworks and on towards Ludwigsburg via the K 1692. Vehicles traveling from Stuttgart-Mühlhausen to Kornwestheim can either continue on the K 1692 to the B27 or drive through Pattonville to the L 1144.
K 1692 open to traffic again from July 2 after roadworks
Over the past four weeks, roadworks have been carried out on the K 1692 between Pattonville and the Ludwigsburger Steige junction with partial road closures. This work has largely been completed, meaning that the entire K 1692 will be open to traffic again from July 2 in the morning. The "Aldingen-Kohlenweg" bus stop will remain closed until Friday, July 5, for the remaining work.
The district is implementing the measure on the L 1144 together with the state so that this section of road, which is maintained by the district, is also restored to a good condition. The state is providing around 0.8 million euros and the district around 0.3 million euros for the renovation work.
The district administration asks all road users for their understanding for any traffic obstructions, especially in the detour area.
