Course offer "Mastering separation - strengthening children" for separated or divorced parents

Under the title "Mastering separation - strengthening children", the Ludwigsburg district's psychological advice center is once again offering a free group training course for separated or divorced parents in collaboration with the Caritas psychological family and life counseling service. The course is designed for ten to twelve participants. The introductory event will take place on March 17, 2020 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Haus Edith Stein in Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck, Parkstraße 34. A further five sessions will follow each week on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm. The group training aims to give those affected tips to help them cope with the situation and find new solutions.

Separations or divorces are difficult and stressful situations for parents and children. Nevertheless, it is important to come to an understanding and minimize the negative effects, especially on the children. This is where the seminar comes in: The group training aims to accompany those affected through this difficult phase and provide help with which a separation situation can be better managed. By looking at one's own behavior in a more objective context, new options for action can be discovered and solutions found. It is about maintaining communication between the parents, the needs of children in separation situations and tips on how a separated couple can fulfill their parental role well.

The titles of the six modules of the parent training course are: "Separation and opportunity" "Conflicts and solutions" "My child and the separation", "Staying parents - part 1", "Staying parents - part 2" and "Future model working team". Childcare will be provided during the sessions if required. Only one parent can take part in the group at a time. Materials help the participants to implement the content in everyday life. Participation in the parent training is free of charge.

The introductory event will take place on Tuesday, March 17 at 3 p.m. in the seminar room of Haus Edith Stein in Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck, Parkstraße 34. There are still places available for the seminar.
