Art moves: Young ideas for the mobility of the future

The year 2025 will be dominated by sustainable mobility for the district following the adoption of the climate mobility plan. In September, the topic of mobility will be examined from a variety of perspectives as part of European Mobility Week (EMW). The Ludwigsburg District Office is therefore calling on all pupils in the district from the 4th grade upwards to get creative and submit works of art that address the topic "My mobility of the future - this is how I want to be on the road".

In "Art and Mobility", young people should make their perspectives visible and show what they understand by mobility, what opportunities they see in the change in mobility and what ideas they have for shaping the mobility of tomorrow.

Schools are encouraged to integrate the creation of the artworks into their curricula and to participate as a class group. Both individual and group results are permitted and must be marked accordingly. However, individual pupils are also welcome to participate independently of the activities of the whole school or class. Teachers who would like theoretical input and suggestions are welcome to get in touch. If you have any questions, please contact the Sustainable Mobility department by email: nachhaltige-mobilitaet[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de or phone: 07141 144-43025.

From July 2026, an art exhibition will take place in the Ludwigsburg district office building as part of the "Art in the District Office" exhibition series, in which a selection of pictures will be presented and awarded prizes. An independent jury will award attractive prizes. All accepted submissions will become part of an online brochure.

From sculpture to poetry: there are no limits to the imagination

Many different forms of art can be submitted: From sculptures to paintings and poems to photographs, anything is possible. In the case of very large works of art, a brief consultation is requested before submission. The work must be created independently. AI-generated or AI-supported content is not permitted.

The results can be handed in at the Ludwigsburg District Office, Hindenburgstraße 46 (VHS building) on the following dates at the Department of District Development, Climate Protection, Mobility and Tourism: Friday, November 7. (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Thursday, December 4 (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Friday, January 16 (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Thursday, February 5 (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). It is also possible to hand in by appointment.
