KSK Chairman of the Board Dr. Heinz-Werner Schulte receives Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon

On Monday, District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas presented the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon to Dr. Heinz-Werner Schulte, CEO of Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg. During a small ceremony in the Louis-Bührer-Saal, he said: "Not only has the regional economy benefited from your commitment, you have also always been involved in social and cultural projects. As a result, you have made a special contribution to the successful cooperation between business and society in the Ludwigsburg district." Schulte was President of the Ludwigsburg District Chamber of Industry and Commerce for twelve years and Deputy President of the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce for many years.

"During your voluntary work for the IHK Region Stuttgart and in particular in the IHK District Chamber Ludwigsburg, the qualification of young people and the integration of disadvantaged young people was always a particular concern of yours," continued District Administrator Haas. For example, Schulte made a significant contribution to the professional development of the "bam" vocational training fair by "bam e.V. - Verein zur Förderung der Berufswahlkompetenz junger Menschen im Kreis Ludwigsburg". Another project that the honoree initiated during his presidency was "Matching", which brings apprenticeship applicants into contact with companies looking for them. "You can clearly feel how much you care about dual training," said the head of the district administration. As an honorary board member of the Association for the Promotion of Vocational Training Ludwigsburg e.V., Schulte also advocated the promotion of training ambassadors and educational partnerships. "The vocational schools in the district of Ludwigsburg have benefited greatly from your commitment to vocational training," said the head of the district administration.

In addition to his commitment to the regional economy, Schulte was also active on a voluntary basis in the social and cultural sphere. As deputy chairman of Freundeskreis Karlshöhe e.V., he supported people with disabilities and in particular their cultural talents. "Through your contacts and relationships with institutions and interested parties, many donations were collected that went directly to disadvantaged people," continued District Administrator Haas. Schulte has also been active in many roles in the Catholic parish of Ludwigsburg-Neckarweihingen for 18 years, for example as a lector, liturgy leader and communion assistant. "Your numerous and varied activities have earned you great recognition and trust in politics, business and society in the Ludwigsburg district and throughout the Stuttgart region," concluded District Administrator Haas.

Dr. Heinz-Werner Schulte has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg since 2001. From 2005 to 2017, he was President of the Ludwigsburg District Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and from 2009 to 2017 Deputy President of the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Schulte has been Honorary President of the Ludwigsburg District Chamber since 2017.
