Thomas Geiger, member of the Management Board of Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg, presented the donation cheque to District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Geiger emphasized the importance of solidarity in times of crisis and said at the handover: "We help people in the district in many different areas. Commitment and help are an indispensable part of our philosophy. This is particularly true in view of the devastating consequences of the floods."
Allgaier was deeply moved by the enormous support: "The overwhelming willingness to donate that we are experiencing shows once again how strongly our district sticks together. The generous donation from Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg in particular is a significant contribution to alleviating the suffering of our fellow citizens. My thanks go to all donors who have shown their solidarity and support in these difficult times."
Numerous donations received - "Overcoming every challenge together"
The Ludwigsburg district, the Rems-Murr district and the districts of Göppingen and Ostalbkreis are appealing for donations to help those affected by the floods and heavy rainfall quickly and effectively. The donations received will be used to support people in need, repair damaged schools and club facilities and finance other necessary relief measures.
"It is precisely at these moments that the cohesion of our community is put to the test. And it is precisely at these moments that we as the district of Ludwigsburg stand together and overcome every challenge together. Every donation, every helping hand, every contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference," says Allgaier.
