District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier visits Besigheim

Another visit as part of District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier's tour of the district took place in Besigheim at the end of October. After a brief tour of the town hall of the municipality, which has a population of around 12,700, the discussions focused on budget planning in times of coronavirus and, in particular, the future structural development of Besigheim.

Three professionals stand outside a building with a large archway entrance. The group consists of two men in suits and one woman in formal attire. The setting features colorful flower planters and cobblestone pathways, suggesting a welcoming atmosphere.

As part of the update of the 2020 to 2035 land use plan, the options for creating affordable housing were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the possible development of the former brickworks site in Luisenstrasse. In the near future, the conflict of objectives between urgently needed living space and the presence of specially protected wild bees must be resolved there. The current work on the design of Enzpark was also discussed. The public paths are currently being laid out there in order to integrate the new bridge into the development of the area.

As part of his district tour, District Administrator Allgaier will visit all 39 towns and municipalities in the district over the next few months and talk to the mayors. Due to the coronavirus, the inaugural visits could only start later than originally planned and will probably continue next year.
