If you enjoy working with children, act responsibly and can imagine working independently, then a qualification as a childminder is just the thing for you. In a well-founded basic qualification, prospective childminders learn everything they need to know to care for and support children - from developmental psychology and nutrition to legal and organizational basics. This activity not only enables a good work-life balance, but also the opportunity to accompany and support children throughout their lives.
Step-by-step qualification with early practical experience
Qualification is based on the Baden-Württemberg qualification concept, which comprises a total of 300 teaching units. It is possible to obtain a childcare license after just 80 teaching units, meaning that the second part of the qualification takes place alongside work. Educational professionals are already fully qualified after the first 80 teaching units. The courses take place in a combination of full-day courses at weekends and evening events during the week. The qualification is free of charge for participants.
