Cooperation agreement concluded to finance the emergency pastoral care management position in the district

On Tuesday (13 December), District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier and Dean Dr. Ekkehard Graf signed the cooperation agreement for the financing of the emergency pastoral care service in the district of Ludwigsburg. The contract was concluded for an indefinite period. "This means that the important task of emergency pastoral care in the district now has a secure foundation," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier happily.

The district council committee for environment and technology (AUT) had decided to fund the management position for emergency pastoral care and instructed the administration to conclude a corresponding agreement with the providers. This agreement has now been concluded by the Ludwigsburg district, the Association of Protestant Church Districts in the Ludwigsburg district and the Catholic Deanery of Ludwigsburg. The agreement stipulates that a full-time specialist with a 50 percent job will be in charge of emergency pastoral care in the district of Ludwigsburg. The task is currently carried out by the Protestant pastor Martin Weigl. The contractual partners each cover one third of the personnel costs of the management position. The day-to-day running of the emergency pastoral care service is financed by the two churches and the DRK district association, as well as voluntary contributions from local authorities, donations and proceeds from charity events.
