Constructive exchange on the way to more shelters for women at risk of acute violence

After the association Frauen für Frauen e. V. recently received the final rejection of the federal funding program "Gemeinsam gegen Gewalt an Frauen" for the renovation and conversion of another women's shelter in the district of Ludwigsburg, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier recently invited the association to a meeting. It became clear that everyone involved was in agreement that additional shelters should be created in the district of Ludwigsburg.

District Administrator Allgaier: "Unsuccessful federal funding is a missed opportunity"

District Administrator Allgaier expressly praised the great commitment of the Frauen für Frauen e. V. association and regretted the unsuccessful funding by the federal government as a missed opportunity.

Together with all those involved, various ways of expanding the number of places in the women's shelter and possibly financing a property are now to be examined again.

The steps discussed are to be implemented in close coordination

Arezoo Shoaleh from Frauen für Frauen e. V. expressly thanked District Administrator Allgaier for seeing the need and for expressly recognizing the efforts to create additional shelter places for women at risk of acute violence. Andreas Veit, Managing Director of Wohnungsbau Ludwigsburg (WBL), emphasized that the available property is an opportunity for the district and also for women threatened by acute violence to create additional shelters here. A further 10 to 15 places could be created with this property. The further steps discussed are now to be implemented in close coordination.
