Vehicle registration office: New employees are being trained

There are currently only limited appointments available at the registration offices in the Ludwigsburg district. The reasons for this are staff absences due to illness, vacant positions for a longer period of time and the training of new employees. "Unfortunately, the branch offices are also affected, some of which even have to close," explains First State Official Jürgen Vogt, who is responsible for the vehicle registration offices. "The situation is still problematic at the moment, but we are working hard to improve it."

A total of twelve new employees join the team

According to Vogt, however, improvement is in sight: "Six new employees have been hired in the Ludwigsburg district office alone in the past three months. They are currently being trained and another six new employees will be hired by June," he says, pleased about the strengthening of the team at the registration office.

Vogt appeals: Keep or cancel booked appointments

"Unfortunately, there are always longer waiting times or appointments are missed unnecessarily if customers don't keep booked time slots," says Vogt. Such incorrect bookings are becoming increasingly common. "Customers then block appointments for other customers. We therefore ask that citizens delete booked appointments that they do not keep in good time to enable others to book appointments."

In this context, Vogt also refers to the Internet-based registration and deregistration of vehicles Online registration / deregistration - Ludwigsburg District Office (landkreis-ludwigsburg.de). "Many processes can already be completed online, so there is no need to travel to the registration authority. With i-Kfz , our customers have the opportunity to register, re-register or deregister their vehicle easily and conveniently from home."

Further information on this can be found on the Ludwigsburg district website at www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de under the "Traffic, safety, order" tab in the vehicle registration section.
