"Motus 2024" disaster control exercise by the district administration on March 20 in Bietigheim-Bissingen: Practicing an emergency in preparation for operational planning for the European Football Championships

With a view to the European Football Championships in Germany in June and July, an emergency was practiced in Bietigheim-Bissingen on Wednesday. Around 150 participants from five civil protection units as well as representatives of the Stuttgart Regional Council and the Ludwigsburg District Office with 40 vehicles took part in the "Motus 2024" emergency drill organized by the district administration.

The purpose of the exercise at the Ege-Trans-Arena was to optimize the cooperation of the individual units, their communication and the set-up of two treatment stations for the mass casualty incident.

Exercise observers gain insights

The exercise in Bietigheim-Bissingen served as preparation for the operational planning for the 2024 European Football Championships in Stuttgart. The exercise observers will incorporate the findings from the exercise into the further development of alerting and deployment management for all civil protection units in the administrative district of Stuttgart.
