A detailed map illustrating the detour routes (labeled Umleitung BA 1 and BA 2) around construction areas (Bauabschnitt 1 and Bauabschnitt 2) in Illingen and Valhingen. Roads are marked in green and blue, with locations clearly indicated for navigation.

For the renovation of the Kleinglattbacher Straße K 1697 from the district border to the entrance to Otto Hahn-Straße (Ensingen) and the K 4579 to Wilhelmstraße (Illingen), the road will be fully closed in two sections. A detour has been set up.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The rehabilitation of the Kleinglattbacher Straße K 1697 from the district border to the entrance to Otto Hahn-Straße (Ensingen) is being carried out on behalf of the Ludwigsburg district administration, while the rehabilitation of the K 4579 road from the district border to Wilhelmstraße (Illingen) is being carried out on behalf of the Enzkreis district. The road is being completely rehabilitated as the road surface shows numerous signs of damage. The base course, binder course and surface course will be renewed.

Construction sections are each being renovated with full road closures

The entire work is expected to last until June 28, 2024. The affected roads will have to be fully closed in two sections for the work.

The respective sections (see also plan with the construction sections) will be renovated under

under full closure. This means that access to the properties will be impossible or only partially possible during this period. For this reason, short construction phases were chosen when planning the construction site so that not so many people are affected at the same time.

The first construction phase begins on Monday, June 3, 2024, and extends from the junction of Wilhelmstraße in the Illingen district to the junction of the K 1698. It should be noted that the Wilhelmstraße - Kleinglattbacher Straße route will be closed for a few hours during the asphalt paving work. During these hours, the Illingen industrial estate can only be reached via Wilhelmstraße - Vaihinger Straße. The first construction phase is expected to be completed after one and a half to two weeks and will then be reopened to traffic.

During the second construction phase between the K 1698 junction and Otto-Hahn-Straße (Ensingen), the Ensingen industrial estate ("perfect location") can only be accessed via Sogenring.

Detour is in place - bus routes also affected

A detour route is signposted. Traffic coming from Wilhelmstraße in Illingen will be diverted via K 4579, K 4508, B10 via Vaihingen an der Enz and L 1125 to Vaihingen Kleinglattbach and to Sersheim.

Bus routes 707 Vaihingen - Illingen - Mühlacker, 590 Vaihingen - Ensingen - Horrheim - Hohenhaslach and 578 Vaihingen - Kleinglattbach - Sersheim - Sachsenheim are affected by the construction work. Detour will have to be taken. Passengers are asked to check the VVS website and the timetables in good time.

The renovation costs of around 700,000 euros will be borne 80 percent by the Ludwigsburg district and 20 percent by the Enzkreis district.

The district administration asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
