The anniversary exhibition "35 years of Kultur- und Kunstkreis Ditzingen e.V." is being shown by the Ludwigsburg District Office from April 4 to May 17 as part of its "Art in the District House" exhibition series. Anyone with an interest in art was welcome to attend the exhibition opening on Thursday, April 4, 7 p.m., in the foyer of the district building.

A promotional graphic celebrating the 35th anniversary of Kultur- und Kunstkreis Ditzingen e.V. It includes the event dates from April 4 to May 17, 2019, featuring a stylized depiction of traditional buildings.

Founded in 1984, the Kultur- und Kunstkreis Ditzingen e.V. now has almost 210 members. In the fields of fine arts, performing arts, arts and crafts, literature and music, the association makes a significant contribution to cultural life in the large district town of Ditzingen with more than 50 events each year. Thirty-one artists show their works from the fields of painting, graphics, sculpture and photography in the Kreishaus.

Painterly works dominate the show. Mixed techniques based on acrylic painting, laid out on different painting surfaces and worked with other materials such as oil, ash, chalk, varnish or added pigments, show great potential for artistic experimentation. In the graphic area, pen and ink drawings and original prints are presented. Various printing techniques, such as traditional woodcuts and linocuts or etchings, can be seen alongside digital prints. The three-dimensional area shows sculptures and ceramic objects. Photographic works complete the show. A catalog will be published to accompany the exhibition.

The exhibition can be seen in the Ludwigsburg Kreishaus, Hindenburgstraße 40. All those interested in art were welcome to attend the opening on Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Kreishaus. The opening was accompanied by music from the choir of singing students from the Kultur- und Kunstkreis Ditzingen e.V. led by Monika Wallner. Barbara Klingler, senior teacher at the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Markgröningen, gave an introduction to the exhibition. An art tour with artists from the association will take place on Thursday, May 9, at 6 pm. The meeting point is the Citizens' Information Desk in the foyer of the Kreishaus.

The opening hours of the Kreishaus and therefore of the exhibition are Monday to Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm.
