Job center responsible for refugees from Ukraine in future

From June 1, refugees from Ukraine will be entitled to benefits under the Second or Twelfth Social Security Code ("Hartz IV"/"Grundsicherung") instead of benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act. In the district of Ludwigsburg, an estimated 1,500 families will be affected by the new regulations by the end of May.

Refugees from Ukraine will thus receive a higher standard rate and better access to medical care. The decision is also intended to change responsibilities. In future, the job centers will be the central point of contact for refugees - including for job placement if required. For the Ludwigsburg district job center, the change in the law is expected to increase the number of benefit communities in the district by 20 percent. In future, the job center will not only be responsible for paying out benefits, but will also support refugees in their search for work.

A central contact point for those affected will be set up in the "Markt&Integration" area of the job center in Ludwigsburg, Hindenburgstr. 4. More information can be found online on the website of the Ludwigsburg district job center at jobcenter.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de under the heading "Information for refugees from Ukraine".

For benefits according to SGB XII, the contact point is located in the district building, Hindenburgstraße 40, room 501. The two contact persons, Ms. Haen and Ms. Pavlova, can be reached at 07141-144 -41410 and -42283 during the usual opening hours of the district office.
