"During the pandemic years, internships were not possible and pupils were often unable to gain an insight into the world of work. Young people can use the vacation offers at www.erlebe-berufe.de for career guidance and gain practical experience," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
When choosing a career, it is important to get a taste of as many of the more than 300 training occupations and the numerous dual study courses as possible. This is because young people are often surprised by the insights they gain on site. "A dream job may not turn out to be so dreamy and another profession may become the new favorite instead," explains Hiltraut Vieth from the Erlebe-Berufe team.
The various sectors are represented on the platform with many exciting professions. For example, interested parties can find jobs such as tax officer, computer scientist, nursing specialist, social insurance clerk, technical product designer, surveying technician, carpenter and many more.
And this is how the platform works: The employers present themselves and their offers and indicate which professions you can get to know with them. The linked job videos give young people a good insight into the job profile in just a few minutes. Some employers also present themselves with their own employer videos. "Interested young people can then use the filter function to quickly find interesting offers for themselves and make a binding booking for offers. They also have the option of searching specifically for offers in their area," reports Jacobsen.
"Participants are covered by accident and liability insurance for the vacation offers and receive a certificate of participation that they can enclose with a subsequent application - two further advantages of our platform," says Vieth.
And the internet platform is also interesting for young people after the vacations, as they can then find over 200 offers for school internships.
