The Neckarschleifen e.V. regional development association supports small projects that serve to preserve steep slope viticulture and the wine culture landscape. 90 percent of the funds come from the regional budget. The remaining 10 percent is financed by the eleven member municipalities. The regional budget for small projects is an additional funding pot designated at federal level to strengthen rural areas.
These are the projects that will receive funding for 2023
- the refurbishment of a Wengert shelter (municipality of Ingersheim)
- a wine trolley (Kopp winery)
- a wine trolley (municipality of Gemmrigheim)
- the renovation of dry stone walls (Martin Joos)
- a refrigerated truck and a power generator (Seybold winery)
- Wine arbor furniture (Siggi winery)
- a covered wagon (Rubens Weintouren)
- a mobile folding bar (Gecco Events)
- the renovation of a vaulted cellar (Pfersich winery)
- the renovation of dry stone walls (Felix Freund)
- Electricity in the vineyards / site power distributor (Lauffender Weingärtner)
- the Stäffeles Bar Steillagen Express (Stäffeles Bar Jan Felger and Eugen Lier GbR)
- Gravel bike racks (Kraichgau Stromberg Tourismus)
- the mobile Piaggio APE wine bar (Bento winery)
- Hillside partner (Kraichgau Stromberg Tourismus)
- a steep slope auditorium (Felsengartenkellerei Besigheim eG)
- Comfortable drinking with a view of the steep slopes (Weingut Eisele)
The chairman of the association, Mayor Dr. Jörg Frauhammer (Gemmrigheim), is delighted with the total of 17 funded projects in the 2023 funding year.
The funding amount will be applied for again for the new funding year 2024. The call will start in the fall. We hope to receive many more great project ideas.
