The district has reached an agreement with the hotel operator that a part of the building with a total of 130 rooms - around 270 accommodation places - can be used to house refugees from Ukraine. The contract is about to be signed. In addition, conference rooms can be used as common rooms, for example for childcare.
"We are happy to support the accommodation of the refugees as much as we can. Because we consider it a humanitarian matter of course to offer refuge to those fleeing war and violence," says Ditzingen's Lord Mayor Michael Makurath.
"I would like to thank the town of Ditzingen for supporting the district in the realization of the location," says District Administrator Allgaier.
