Fiber optics for the industrial estate in Remseck

The die is cast: In Remseck, over 100 businesses in the Remseck-Aldingen industrial estate will now be connected to Telekom's gigabit high-speed network when they sign a contract. 15 companies have already opted for the high-speed network during the pre-marketing period. Telekom is now starting construction. Companies that opted for Telekom during the pre-marketing period will receive the installation of the gigabit connection at no additional cost. The fiber optic offer ranges from the asymmetric 100 Mbit/s business customer connection to the symmetric 1 Gbit/s connection. Telekom will lay around four kilometers of fiber optic cable, set up two fiber optic network distributors and connect the company locations directly to the fiber optic network.

At the ground-breaking ceremony from left: Matthias Gauger (Head of Technology Gigabit Region Stgt), Viktor Kostic (Managing Director ZV KBL) Joachim Otto (Telekom Head of Field Service Infrastructure Sales Southwest), Dirk Schönberger (Mayor of Remseck) and Armin Brenner (City of Remseck Head of Building Administration, Urban Planning).

"Without a comprehensive fibre optic infrastructure, companies will no longer be able to fully exploit the potential of digitalization. We are very pleased that we are now also getting this infrastructure here in the commercial area in Aldingen, which will enable our companies to develop their potential and be successful," says Remseck Mayor Dirk Schönberger about the fiber optic expansion.

"Fiber to the home is a provision for the future for every entrepreneur. The town of Remseck is now receiving the most modern infrastructure in the commercial area in Aldingen as an important location factor for the future of the local businesses," says Viktor Kostic, Managing Director of Zweckverband Kreisbreitband Ludwigsburg.

"We are delighted that the companies in Remseck are benefiting from the cooperation agreement between the Stuttgart region and Deutsche Telekom and are now getting fiber optics right into their buildings," explains Matthias Gauger, Head of Technology at Gigabit Region Stuttgart GmbH (GRS). "For companies, fast Internet is a competitive factor that is becoming increasingly important. Fiber optics is the only technology that in principle allows unlimited bandwidths and is therefore future-proof."

"We are delighted to be able to offer our business customers in Remseck fiber optic connections in the business park in the future. We will implement the project quickly and provide the companies with state-of-the-art technology. We are thus offering companies the best infrastructure for digitalization," says Joachim Otto, Head of Field Service Infrastructure Sales Southwest at Deutsche Telekom.
