Sheep's wool festival, In den Dorfwiesen 10, in Oberstenfeld-Gronau
On Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, the colorful Sheep's Wool Festival will take place for the 19th time in Gronau. Visitors can look forward to many insights, information and demonstrations about sheep and wool and more than 100 stalls with various sheep and natural products at the sheep market. On Saturday, guests are welcome from 11 am. On Sunday, the festival begins at 10 am with a joint church service. Various breeds of sheep will be presented to visitors over the weekend. Sheep shearing will be demonstrated on the small stage at 3 pm on both days and reports will be given on sheep farming and wool processing. Crafts such as weaving, spinning and felting invite visitors to watch and join in. Crafting fun for children, a fashion show with woolly clothes, Swabian dialect as well as music and tasty refreshments round off the program.
