The renovation is necessary because the existing sidewalk is no longer safe for wheelchair users due to roots and environmental influences. The pedestrian traffic lights will be switched off for the duration of the repair, which will cost 10,000 euros. Instead of stopping at the "Am Wasserturm" stop in the direction of Asperg, routes 531 and 532 will stop at the "Klinik/Schule" stop a little further to the west.
In order to have sufficient space for the construction work, traffic in the area of the "Am Wasserturm" stop will be guided past the construction site in one lane and regulated by a mobile signal system.
The district administration office asks all passengers, residents and road users for their understanding.
