In the 15 years from 1979 to 1994 as a member of the district council, Haaf also "dedicated herself to the tasks at hand with enthusiasm and diplomatic skill and always worked towards a solution that was acceptable to both sides. In 1994, Peter Haaf was awarded the Medal of Merit of the District of Ludwigsburg.
