Fröbelschule and Schule am Favoritepark: Joint charity run for a good cause

The joint charity run of the district's two special educational and counseling centers, the Fröbelschule and the Schule am Favoritepark, recently took place again in Ludwigsburg-Eglosheim. The weather conditions were ideal - a cool 10 degrees, blue skies and sunshine.

A large crowd of people gathers at an outdoor event, with a prominent "START" banner overhead. Participants of all ages are dressed in colorful clothing, indicating a community gathering or race. Lush greenery surrounds the area, suggesting a pleasant, sunny day.

The pupils from both schools collected around 7,500 euros during the charity run.

After a joint start with the two-school song, which was newly composed by a teacher from the Fröbelschule, and a rhythmic rap, the runners began to complete their laps. In an exuberant atmosphere, many kilometers were run for a good cause. Some sporting talents were discovered, but the joy of the common cause and the commitment were the main focus.

Family, friends and acquaintances sponsor pupils

In the run-up to the event, the pupils looked for sponsors from their families, friends or school who would pay them an amount of their choice per lap. As a result, the pupils from both schools raised around 7,500 euros.

The proceeds will be split: At the Schule am Favoritepark, a portion goes to the school's support association, while the second portion is used to support the food banks in Ludwigsburg. The Fröbelschule also donates a portion to its support association and the second portion to the children's and youth hospice.

Another charity run is planned for next year. "More ideas for the 2025 run have already emerged, there couldn't be better feedback," says Peter Krause, head of special education at the school in Favoritepark.
