Andreas Eschbach, Head of Central Management and Schools at the Ludwigsburg District Office, emphasized the special role of the Fröbelschule: "The Fröbelschule is much more than a place of learning - it is a school of trust, togetherness and perspective. It enables children to explore new paths through language development. This is an indispensable contribution to equal opportunities in the district."
As a symbolic gift, Eschbach presented a "cab tricycle" and a balance bike for the break area - in keeping with the anniversary motto "Where small steps become big paths."
Sabine Conrad, Head of the Ludwigsburg State Education Authority, also addressed the school community: "The Fröbelschule is outstandingly successful in providing its pupils with targeted and intensive support in their language and communication skills, thereby enabling them to successfully return to mainstream school. The school management and staff deserve a big thank you for this."
Principal Petra Zey welcomed the attendees and opened the anniversary celebration. She emphasized: "Taking one step at a time together, promoting understanding and being understood in order to open up new paths for the pupils has been the Fröbel School's mission since day one and will remain so in the future." She thanked the highly committed teaching staff, other employees and all of the school's cooperation partners.
Join-in songs, flash mobs and lots of movement
The school anthem "Das Fröbelschullied" (The Froebel School Song) kicked off the event with music and movement, performed by the teaching staff and pupils as a join-in song. Two flash mobs and the "School Village Song" got the participants dancing.
Following the ceremony, visitors were treated to a colorful program around the school building. Milestones from the school's 50-year history were on display, as well as projects from the previous project week under the motto "Strong individually, unbeatable together!".
About the Fröbel School
The Fröbelschule is the only special education and counseling center (SBBZ) with a focus on language in the district of Ludwigsburg. Since 1975, it has been providing individual and targeted support to
children with language development disorders with the aim of preparing them for a return to mainstream school.
As a so-called transition school, attendance ends with year 6. The pupils come from a large catchment area and receive tailored linguistic and social support. Speech therapy, interdisciplinary cooperation and close work with parents are integral parts of the educational concept. With its specialization, its history and its consistent focus on participation and development, the Fröbelschule is a central component of the school village at Favoritepark and an integral part of the district's educational landscape.
