Photo of former District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas unveiled

Dr. Rainer Haas, who was District Administrator of the Ludwigsburg district and the former districts of Vaihingen and Leonberg until the beginning of the year, has now also been immortalized in the series of former District Administrators. Haas and his successor Dietmar Allgaier unveiled the portrait photo on Tuesday in the district hall in the presence of the other department heads.

Two men stand next to a gallery wall filled with framed portraits. One man, wearing a striped shirt, smiles while the other, dressed in a suit, stands beside him. The setting appears to be a modern indoor space with seating.

After Dr. Ulrich Hartmann, Dr. Rainer Haas now takes the place of honour as the tenth portrait in the row. With 24 years in office, from 1996 to the beginning of 2020, Haas was the longest-serving district administrator, at least until the time of his farewell. "That is an achievement that is certainly unique," emphasized Dietmar Allgaier. "It is a pleasure for me to be able to unveil this picture." "Young and dynamic", as Allgaier put it, Haas visited his longstanding place of work. Many decisions were made in the conference area of the district administration office, so it was only logical to offer the portrait photos a worthy place here.

"It still feels like yesterday," said Haas, who was delighted to see some of his long-time companions again. With some appointments that he still enjoys attending, such as the recent foundation festival of the Pädagogisch-Kulturelles Zentrum (PKC) in Freudental, he has not quite reached retirement yet.
