Funding approval for project: District supports municipalities with their inner-city development

The district of Ludwigsburg has received funding approval from the state for its project "Creation of affordable housing in inner-city development in the district of Ludwigsburg". The aim is to support local authorities in creating affordable housing in their inner-city developments.

The district had applied to the Ministry for Regional Development and Housing for the "Gaining space through inner development" 2021 funding program. It has now received funding approval for 39,000 euros.

"Creating more affordable living space in the district is currently one of the most important issues in the district. I am therefore delighted that our project 'Creation of affordable housing in inner-city development in the district of Ludwigsburg' has received funding from the state," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

With this project, the district would like to support local authorities in identifying potential for inner development and vacancies and developing activation approaches for inner areas. The project will be implemented until the end of 2023 and will be supported by the IfSR Institute for Urban and Regional Development.

In addition to the district, Sachsenheim and Hessigheim are also receiving support for their projects from this funding program.
