Fish kill in the River Enz: District office searches for cause
The Ludwigsburg District Office was informed today by the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters' Commercial and Environmental Department about a fish kill in the River Enz near Besigheim. The responsible employees of the district office discovered several dead fish over a long section of the river up to the confluence with the Neckar. The cause of the fish deaths is not yet known. Further investigations are being carried out on the basis of water samples and fish carcasses in order to determine the cause of the fish death and, if necessary, to be able to take further measures. As soon as further facts are available, the district office will provide information.
