Eight new classrooms for the primary level, differentiation and therapy rooms, a school kitchen, a small event room, a room for the drama club, a library and much more: from the coming school year, the new 32 by 19 meter building will offer the Fröbelschule and the Schule am Favoritepark a lot more space.
"The new extension is a visible sign of the school's growth and development. It offers more space for individual support, creative projects and collaborative learning," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier at the opening ceremony. "As the school authority, the district of Ludwigsburg is delighted that the two schools have created a stable foundation in terms of space and equipment, on which they can work well and successfully every day."
New building also offers space for counseling rooms
"We are delighted that we will then have more space and that the spatial conditions at the entire school will once again meet the educational requirements," says Peter Krause, Headmaster of Schule am Favoritepark. His colleague Petra Zey, principal of the Fröbelschule, is also delighted with the new building. "The new premises are a great benefit for our school, both for the advice center, early intervention and school social work," says Zey.
The special educational advice centers, the special educational service and the school social workers at both SBBZs will now have very good spatial conditions in which to carry out their advisory tasks.
Inauguration merges seamlessly into the spring festival
Games, fun, art, culture and culinary delights: the subsequent spring festival at the Schule am Favoritepark offered guests a great opportunity to become part of the school community. The school got in the mood for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 with a human table football tournament, while musical entertainment was provided by the Brenzband and the inclusive big band "groove-inclusion", among others.
