Expansion of emergency flood aid: self-employed people and restaurateurs can now apply for donations

Around 80,000 euros in donations have already gone to those affected by the floods in the Ludwigsburg district. A total of 59 private individuals, associations and organizations have already been helped. The emergency aid is now being expanded further. From now on, self-employed people, such as farmers and innkeepers, can also apply for funds to help cope with the damage. The donation campaign runs until July 15.

A heart-shaped logo features the text "HOCHWASSER HILFE" in bold red letters, suggesting support for flood relief. An arrowed phrase at the bottom reads "JETZT SPENDEN!" encouraging immediate donations. The color gradient transitions from pink to yellow, enhancing the message of urgency and compassion.

3,000 euros can now be applied for as emergency aid by affected self-employed people and innkeepers. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier explains: "It is very important to us that we provide quick and unbureaucratic help not only to the affected families and associations, but also to the self-employed and innkeepers who were severely affected by the floods. The solidarity and helpfulness of our community is outstanding and enables us to implement these comprehensive relief measures."

1,000 euros will be paid out to private individuals and 5,000 euros to organizations such as associations. The amount of the lump sums is based on the potential number of people affected and the amount of donations already received. Emergency aid for minor damage, such as in the garden, is correspondingly lower.

Applications for aid can be submitted until July 15

The fundraising campaign is coming to an end. If the donations are exhausted, the date of receipt of the application form is decisive. The fundraising campaign will run until July 15, 2024, provided the funds have not been exhausted before then.
