Harvesting and electricity harvesting on one area: information event on agrivoltaics on February 18

Agri-photovoltaics enables the efficient use of agricultural land by combining food production and solar energy generation. But what needs to be considered in practice? And how can agrivoltaics be used in the chicken run, on the field or for special crops? These questions are the focus of a free information event on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 4.30 pm to around 6.30 pm.

Participation is possible on site at the premises of the Energieagentur Kreis Ludwigsburg LEA e. V. (Hoferstraße 9a, Ludwigsburg) or online. As part of the information event, presentations and field reports will provide an overview of the technical and economic potential of Agri-PV and show which agricultural crops benefit from it.

Wolfgang Bechtle, Head of the Department of Environment, Technology and Construction at the Ludwigsburg District Office, will welcome the participants. Lisa Pataczek, research assistant at the University of Hohenheim, will then provide information on the influence of PV modules on agricultural yields . Agri-PV in arable farming and grasslandis the topic of the presentation by Nicolai Reiners, founder of Feldwerke Solar GmbH. Farmer Kevin Möhler and Sarah Kimmich, research assistant at HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen, will report on agri-PV in chicken runs. Afterwards,Hansjörg Vollmer, farmer and founder of Intech GmbH, will talk about Agri-PV in special crops and viticulture,beforeJulian Queißner from the Building Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office explains aspects of building law.

Farmers who would like to incorporate Agri-PV into their farm planning as well as administrative staff from agriculture and climate protection are particularly invited. Other interested parties are also very welcome.
