The high level of participation by district and municipal councils is particularly pleasing: almost 20 percent of the district's political decision-makers are taking part in the three-week cycling competition. The municipality with the most bicycle-active local parliament is awarded a separate prize category by Climate Alliance.
This year, a photo campaign will take place for the first time as part of the city cycling competition: Anyone who visits at least six participating municipalities by bike and takes photos to prove it will be in with a chance of winning a 50-euro voucher for a local bike shop of their choice. The district administration office has already received a whole series of pictures. It is still possible to send in the pictures and thus take part in the prize draw until July 31.
At the end of the city cycling event, all participants are invited to visit the NaturVision film festival's future market in Ludwigsburg. Together with the district administration's climate protection team, the cycling representatives will be represented there with an information stand on Friday, July 22. There will be the opportunity to issue personalized certificates. The first 100 participants will also receive a free pretzel as a reward for the kilometers they have cycled.
The city cycling competition continues until July 21 - you can still join at any time. Information and registration: www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-ludwigsburg
Info:
City cycling is an international campaign of the Climate Alliance. Private individuals as well as representatives of companies, clubs, associations, institutions, cultural facilities, government offices and (high) schools join together in teams to collect as many kilometers as possible on bicycles and pedelecs for three weeks. In Baden-Württemberg, the state initiative RadKULTUR supports the competition. More information and all results at www.stadtradeln.de
