With many interactive contributions and experiences from practical work with local companies, the participants created the basis for the further orientation of the future strategy that the district economic development agency and the commissioned regional consultancy VDI / VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH are currently working on. The participants discussed a wide range of success factors for the business location, from issues relating to the labor market, innovation and start-up support to commercial space and a climate-friendly economy. In addition to some challenges, the participants also saw opportunities for strengthening the location through more cooperation, a focus on future industries and targeted measures to strengthen promising companies.
Actively shaping transformation
The future strategy is a project of the district economic development agency and aims to further develop the business location. "Technological upheavals, digital processes, changing skills requirements and current developments in the world of work are also making themselves felt in the district of Ludwigsburg," says Oliver Reichert, the district's economic development officer. In the course of this far-reaching transformation, the demands that companies place on their environment are also changing, Reichert continues.
Together with the towns and municipalities, the district of Ludwigsburg wants to take these developments into account, support local companies, further expand its attractiveness as a business location, promote new start-ups and thus maintain value creation and jobs in the district. By summer 2025, those involved in the project want to draw up a comprehensive analysis, also with the involvement of the business community, and derive goals and measures on this basis.
