Former district councillor and first deputy Werner Banzhaf celebrates his 75th birthday on April 15

Former District Councillor and First Alderman Werner Banzhaf is celebrating his 75th birthday today, Monday. District Administrator Dr. Haas congratulates him with a letter.

It reads: "For a decade - from 2004 to 2014 - you were committed to the interests of the citizens of the district in the district council. Above all, you were able to contribute your specialist knowledge and local political experience in the Committee for Environment and Technology as well as on the supervisory board of AVL and in the association meeting of the Strohgäubahn special purpose association." The head of the district administration went on to write: "You have worked for the city of Freiberg and its citizens in various positions, most recently as First Deputy Mayor. It was very important to you to promote Freiberg as a school location and as a town with a high recreational value."

District Administrator Haas thanked Banzhaf for his commitment to the benefit of the district and wished him a happy birthday with family and friends. "I wish you continued strength, happiness and, above all, good health for the future," Haas concludes his letter of congratulations.
